Alzada occurs as village in the sou'-east corner of Montana off U.S. Highway 212, near the Wyoming and South Dakota borders. It was 1st settled as a military telegraphy booster amplifier, & was known as Stoneville, when a local barkeeper Lou Stone. It was a places of a celebrated gun battle within 1884 between local authorities & cattle thief called the Exelby gang. A title of the town was changed because of confusion by having an additional similarly-known as community. A title Alzada come from either an early settler known as Alzada Sheldon. Late settlers were largely homesteaders. Peter Thompson moved to Alzada from Lead, Dakota Territory, inside 1890, by having his brother William & homesteaded n of town on the Little Missouri Flow of any stream at Nine Mile Creek. Virtually all of the residents of the community come ranchers, & survive outside of the town itself. Its latitude is 45.023N, & longitude is -104.411W. These are in the Mountain Daylight Saving period zone. the commercial activity inside Alzadthe now consists mostly of 2 blocks, the mechanic shop, a filling station & a post professional.
